Ceiling heating

Radiant ceiling heating with Safe-t-FLEX carbon film

A thin carbon-film element sits above the plasterboard and turns the ceiling into a gentle, low-temperature radiant heater. Nothing shows in the room once the ceiling is finished.

How it works

How ceiling film provides radiant warmth

Instead of blowing warm air around, the warm ceiling heats people, floors and furniture directly. Insulation above the film keeps the warmth directed down into the room.

Suitability

Is ceiling heating right for your project?

Well suited to

  • New homes and extensions
  • Renovations where ceilings are being replaced or re-sheeted
  • Living areas, bedrooms and other enclosed rooms
  • Aged care, education and similar buildings, where CBS has supplied ceiling heating before (projects)

Things to consider

  • The film goes in before the plasterboard, so it is planned into the build
  • Insulation above the film is part of the system
  • Not recommended for warehouses or spaces with high ventilation, where ceiling-mounted panels may suit better
  • A licensed electrician connects the system

What Ron will ask about

  • Your suburb or postcode
  • The rooms to be heated and their sizes
  • Ceiling construction and insulation
  • New build, extension or ceiling replacement, and timing
  • Plans, if you have them
